paul rudd 276x300 Paul Rudd and Paul McCartney: SNL Highlights [Video]Paul Rudd and Paul McCartney rocked it on Saturday Night Live last night!  If you didn’t see last night’s SNL, here are a few of my favorite parts from the show.

Paul Rudd’s opening monologue was very funny and Paul McCartney delivered a stellar musical performance, watch the video clips of Paul and Paul here. I’m a hopeless Paul Rudd fan but reviews of Rudd’s hosting gig have been positive.

There were several good sketches on last night’s SNL, and Paul Rudd was strong in every skit he was in. He killed it as the nerdy math teacher at a high school assembly. Paul Rudd was in a weird but funny SNL Digital Short, “Stumblin,’” where Andy Samberg and Rudd ran stumbling around New York to the tune of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” with some help from Paul McCartney singing. Kind of  an odd clip but worth watching.

My favorite sketch of last night’s SNL was “What’s That Name?“, about a game show.  Paul Rudd played a contestant in the game show, which shows that people know celebrities better than the people around them in everyday life. Watch the clip of “What’s That Name” below:

Paul McCartney performed four numbers on Saturday Night Live last night but the ex-Beatle showed his sense of humor last night as well!   Sir Paul was in the SNL Digital Short, “Stumblin,” and McCartney did a quick bit with Seth Meyers on Weekend Update. Seth and Paul McCartney dub the voices of Camilla Bowles and Prince Charles in a “reenactment” to of the Royal couple being attacked last week in their car. I grew up wanting to love Paul McCartney. I was born in 1964, so I missed the Beatles. BUT, when I was 12, I started loving the Beatles. At that point, I started looking for albums that were great from each of them on their own. When I was 12, it was 1976. The song was “Silly Love Songs”. Loved it, but my brother (who was a Rolling Stones lover), hated it. I still liked it and my friend told me about Paul’s relationship to the “Beatles”. I started researching the Beatles and became a real fan. SO……..I went back and checked out Paul McCartney’s albums before 1976 and was happy about “Band On The Run”, BUT could not believe how bad the other stuff was. I mean……Red Rose Speedway had some good points (very few, mind you), but PLEASE! To cut to the “chase”……….Paul has sucked since 1973. I love the fact that he was a Beatle, but I have to agree with John Lennon saying that “We will see what you can do” and he hasn’t done much. It puzzles me when people say that Paul is a great song writer because he actually sucks. Come on…….When did he right a good song after “Maybe I’m Amazed???” When I was growing up, there was one time that I was excited, and that was when a Paul McCartney album came out. “London Town” came out and I was trying……..I was TRYING to like this album…….well…….It sucked. (Anyone that disagrees with me, lets talk about it……there is NO WAY that you would think that ANY of these songs were good……..OH YEAH…..I like, “With A Little Luck”. Then we go to The Album, “Back To The Egg”. Do we need to talk about this one? I was waiting……….Waiting……..WAITING, for a great Paul McCartney album. THEN he comes out with McCartney II. Anyone who is following me here knows that this SUCKED……..The single was a live recording of Coming Up (which was pretty good, I thought). After this, it was just Paul McCartney teaming up with the “latest and the greatest”……..first, Stevie Wonder (Ebony and Ivory) and Micheal Jackson (Say, Say, Say). Since then, he has not been able to be “on the charts”. He tried in 1988 when he went on his world tour. His album, “Flowers in the Dirt,” in my opinion, was a terrible way to try to “get back” into the public. “My Brave Face” just didn’t get people interested in him. Sure, there was the tour, and I went to two of Paul’s concerts in 1988 and when he started singing from this terrible album the audience looked like ants going to the bathroom waiting for the “good stuff”
My problem is that I was a Paul McCartney fan since 1976 and I have been waiting for a great album or even a great song. He has not delivered on any. He sucks and I have the right to say this because I have been waiting.

ANYONE that disagrees with me that Paul McCartney Sucks can go online and go to his album, McCartney II, Temporary Secratary. This is only one of the worst songs ever made. John Lennon was right…………He sucks!
