Billy Ray Cyrus took to Twitter to write to fans: “Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. Im so sad. There is much beyond my control right now.”
For anyone seeing news of Miley Cyrus’ latest behavior and wondering about her upbringing and how involved her parents are, it’s telling to see Billy Ray Cyrus’ message to say so much is “beyond my control right now.”
Anyone else getting the sense that Miley Cyrus is just out of control altogether?
Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus’ parenting skills have been called into question before, including that Vanity Fair cover of Miley draped in a sheet and the many racy outfits Miley has worn in concert. Shouldn’t her parents have been helping her make better decisions when she was younger?
Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus are currently going through a divorce, and recently rumors surfaced that Miley is having a hard time dealing with her parents split.
Looks like it may be time for Billy Ray to get things within his control – I know Miley recently turned 18, but he can still be a good parent to her and help her stay on track.

I remember when I was 18yrs old I didnt listen to anything my mother said. Hell when I was 16yrs old I didnt listen. I did what I wanted and snuck around. Its part of growing up. You make mistakes get out of your system and move on. I still like Miley Cyrus and so does my daughter of course as Hannah Montana. And an 18yr old female having her parents divorced?? Come on. Im sure they are doing all they can to help her through the divorce and through the beginning of her life. Shes young she’ll figure it in time. NO 18yr old IS PERFECT. Just cause she plays a perfect one doesnt mean she is one in real life.

mommykim#1 commented on Apr 19 12 at 2:03 ami completely agree. i mean honestly what the girl chooses to do is her choice she shouldnt have the entire freaking world chastising her for that. the tabloids and crap like that make it seem so much worse than it really is. in truth she is just another normal teenager growing up like me well not exactly like me i mean she isnt 19 married and pregnant is she no so why does she have to be punished for doing the same thing we have all done. of course my stupidity people think that just because she grew up with a famous dad that it gives her more of a right to be punished for things like pictures or comments or anything for that matter. just let her be her and none of this will happen the way it is already happening
