Will Smith Will Reportedly Judge US 'X-Factor.'

According to reports, Will Smith will join Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole, and Simon Cowell in judging the US version of X-Factor when it premieres in the fall of 2011.

The actor and rapper has signed on to be one of the “core judges” by Cowell, The People reports. A fifth guest judge will also appear each week with names like Mariah Carey, Zac Efron, Jon Bon Jovi, and George Michael landing in the seat.

A source said: “Simon wants to keep it fresh and have a different judge every week. He’s over the moon with his three core judges, and himself of course. But he wants some big names to do guest appearances. He has spoken to several stars and they have bitten his hand off to appear.”

While I take this report with a big grain of salt, I do think that this would be an epic choice and a huge way to draw viewers. How do you feel about Will Smith judging X-Factor?

I think that him judging it will one, show the diversity in this nation by having an African American and Mixed Race judge (Nicole) as that is they way america looks. Also, Will Smith’s star power and ingenuity to make hit shows for networks himself is a plus.
