Gayle King has been Oprah Winfrey’s best friend for years. In her interview with Barbara Walters that will air tomorrow night, Oprah Winfrey cried as she once again defended rumors that she and Gayle King are lesbians and have been having some sort of secret love affair for years. Seriously, why are people so obsessed with Gayle King’s friendship with Oprah?
Just because two women happen to be close friends does not mean that they are suddenly gay, or in love with each other. I have many close girlfriends that I definitely love, but that doesn’t mean that I’m in love with them. Why do people find it so strange that Gayle King and Oprah Winfrey have a strong bond?
Oprah has been living with boyfriend Stedman Graham for as long as I can remember, yet people still seem incredibly eager for her to admit some sort of romance with Gayle King.
Oprah is in Australia now for her big trip Down Under, and she is sure to encounter more Gayle King questions while she’s visiting. Honestly, it’s about high time that people gave up on the whole Oprah Winfrey Gayle King secret relationship.
Get over it people! It’s okay for women to be best friends!
