Oprah talks about Gayle King in Barbara Walters interview

Gayle King is making headlines as the one topic in Barbara Walters Oprah interview that actually makes Oprah cry!

Watch the video clip, where Oprah talks about her close friendship with Gayle King, breaking down in tears as she explains, “She is the mother I never had. She is the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don’t know a better person. I don’t know a better person.”

Oprah adds, “Shoot. I wasn’t going to cry.”

When Barbara Walters asks why she’s crying, Oprah says of Gayle King, “It’s making me cry because I’m thinking about how much I probably never told her that. Tissue please! I’ve never told her that.”

Oprah also shoots down those Gayle King/Oprah lesbian rumors – they aren’t, naturally, with Oprah noting, “I’m not lesbian. I’m not even kind of lesbian. The reason why it irritates me is because it means somebody must think I’m lying. Why would you hide it?That’s not the way I run my life.”
