Bama Belles: Like Real Housewives but in Small-Town Alabama (Video)
TLC’s Real Housewives style documentary Bama Belles premiered Sunday, December 5 and introduced us to five very different women from the small town of Dothan, Alabama.
The new reality series follows these women as they juggle their careers, home lives and relationships with one another. They come together at completely different crossroads in their lives to share their relationships with each other, their families and their jobs.
On the season premiere, the new girl Val is here to stay and Dakota surprises everyone after disappearing for four months.
Amie has been married to her husband Ron for 21 years. She is a woman who loves the country life and is not afraid to show it.
Jana has been married to her husband Grant for about three years now and they are having a lot of difficulty making a baby.
Melissa and Frankie have been married over eight years. They live in their lake house where they sell luxury boats. But, because of the horribly economy, Melissa currently has two jobs to help out her struggling family.
The limited-run reality series will start with three one-hour shows with the plan to pick up more if the show’s successful.

Bev D commented on Dec 06 10 at 10:05 amABSOLUTELY will be watching this! Finally a show about women that are not totally self-absorbed! And it’s refreshing to see some truth about the south, rather than stereotypes. I’m a recent transplant to Alabama, and have yet to meet anyone I did not like. Down-home, REAL, genuine people! Would love to call someone like Amie a best friend. Go Bama Belles!

Nancy commented on Dec 08 10 at 12:26 amWHAT A DISASTER OF A SHOW, Especially since the ” Val character is not from Alabama, does not live there, never did ,and never will . She is 32 years old wanna -be from Jersey . The show is all lies. She got “CAST ” and they made it seem like she was from there, some research will reveal it all .
