Facebook Cartoon Profile Pic: Childhood Cartoons, Classic Cartoon Characters Avatars
Facebook cartoon profile pics are taking over, as childhood cartoons and classic cartoon characters avatars take over Facebook!
Cartoons from the 70s, 80s and 90s, including old cartoons like Pinky and the Brain, Muppet Babies, Strawberry Shortcake, and Rugrats are just some of the classic cartoon characters that Facebook users are using for their avatars.
But why is the Facebook cartoon profile pic catching on? Is it just a way to relive the childhood cartoons of our past?
In fact, the classic cartoon characters used on Facebook is a campaign to raise awareness about violence against children.
Facebook users are circulating the following message: “Change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until Monday (Dec. 6), there should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories. This is for violence against children.”
The Facebook cartoon profile pic campaign was started by a user on December 1, who created the ”Change your profile picture to a cartoon character campaign.”
Are you taking part in the Facebook Cartoon profile pic campaign? Which childhood cartoon is your favorite?
