Willie Nelson Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Country crooner Willie Nelson was arrested in Texas when a U.S. Border Patrol officer smelled marijuana on his tour bus at a checkpoint.

After a search was made, Nelson was caught with 6 ounces of marijuana in his possession. He was charged accordingly.

Nelson claimed the marijuana was his and was held briefly before being released on a $2,500 bond.

While it is always best to be honest, Nelson is not a good example to children. What will children think who listen to his music or watch the celebrity news programs? Nelson needs to end his bad habit and use his celebrity for good.

How do you feel about Nelson’s recent arrest?

Here we go again. Hundreds of billions spent on the “Drug War” to no avail. Hundreds of billions spent chasing “phantoms” around the world with the world’s most powerful but ineffective military, with no solutions in sight. Military budgets that suck $600-800 Billion a year out of the U.S. economy. Energy consumption policies favoring “Big Oil:” that suck another $300 Billion a year out of the pockets of U.S. taxpayers and send them to folks that would welcome your decline. Wake up. Read a little history and see what happened to the Roman Empire. It’s over, don’t the politicians get it, it’s not rocket science. The U.S. is a society in decline due to excess, gorging and a self-righteous evangelical fanaticism that believes it has a “God Given” right to rule the world under the guise of protecting its interests and shares to many similarities to the same kind of fundamentalism it is supposedly at war with. There is such a disconnect between what the country purports to hold dear and its reality. An outsider sees a country that cares not enough for its own people to ensure all have good health care and education because that’s just too darn expensive and borders on “Socialism”. Yet has no problem spending trillions on the military and foreign energy. Instead let’s pick on good folks like Mr. Nelson, harming no one and forget the real need to change the Conciousness and let go of the hypocrisy that plagues the country before all hope is lost. Citizens of the U.S. need to wake up, see reality for what it is and act accordingly to keep their nation great by first becoming a more tolerant, compassionate and less consumptive society before it’s too late. Best wishes, your northern neighbour.

oh willie! never, ever say it’s yours! it gives your lawyer so little to work with. i mean, a whole bus, who knows how many people, that’s a charge someone can get rid of. i agree with my northern neighbor commenter. i also believe that mj should be legal for those above age 21. marijuana doesn’t cause anywhere near the number of problems that alcohol does, and i have no issue with willie’s use – just with his admission to possession!

end state law assualt on interstate licensed medical cannabis patients. Willie Nelson holds permits necessary to carry and grow and coop medically, but the laws are obsolete because of inhumane politicians. Dare you to loose half a face and not want heavy addicting meds, so become licensed. The officer only needed to know if the semi retired working senior held a valid license, not whether he thinks he sees or doesnt see that willie is not well. How can one see m.s? Lower BAck injuries????the patrolman is not thrifty and has wasted the dept. money. To deny medicine is cruel and unusual for patients with terminal or chronic disease. To call and make them criminals and answer and fine them is punishment. Cruel and Unusual punishment. Fire the policemean or make him sick for life and suffer terminal disease while the plauge of multiple doctors scripts addict at least, sickening him always until his weight drops below normal and he dies. just saying laws are wrong and circumstancial….right ..cross a border ad your disease disappears…curse them with illness…hope they have to beg for medical cannabis to make their final journey alone. creepy opinionated non-sick nor licensed lawmakers..shame your opinion and laws stink
