Fun Kids Thanksgiving Games
Need some ideas for fun Thanksgiving games to play with your kids on Turkey Day? We’ve got some great Thanksgiving games, word searches, and worksheets that will keep the kiddos occupied and entertained so that you can cook, socialize, or if you’re lucky, put your feet up and relax a bit!
These Thanksgiving games are fun for the whole family:
1. Turkey Trot Game – basically a Thanksgiving football game for kids! Pair off the kids, and give each one of them a “turkey mascot”, which is a football with a turkey head taped on top. Next, have them link up their arms, and run from one side of the field to the other. The team who makes it first without unlinking their arms or dropping their turkey wins!
2. Chopstick Game - this is one of those Thanksgiving games that requires a little concentration, so it may be best for older kids. Give each child a pair of chopsticks, and then arrange items on a plate such as a walnut, acorn, cranberry, etc. Have each player pick up one of the items with the chopsticks and pass it to the next kid. The game is won when all of the objects make it back onto the plate without being dropped.
3. Thankful Game - Have your kids make lists of what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving, and then have them read their lists aloud while dinner guests are polishing off their mashed potatoes!
