Great American Smokeout 2010: Take the challenge!

Today is the Great American Smokeout, the 35th annual American Cancer Society event that encourages smokers to rub out this nasty habit. (I can say that – my dad is a smoker and I’ve been around it firsthand all my life. I love him dearly, but I do not love his cigarettes.)  Sadly, my dad is not alone – there are many parents, celebrities included, who are also nicotine addicts, setting a poor example for their kids.

Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Courteney Cox and Katherine Heigl are just a few of the celebrity moms and dads who have or currently do smoke.

On this day, et’s encourage them and everyone else who struggles with this addiction to quit. Today could be the first day of the rest of your better smelling, better feeling life!
