Alanis Morissette and MC Souleye are Having a Boy!
Alanis Morissette is getting ready for a new little man in her life!
She and husband MC Souleye are expecting a baby boy, her rep confirmed to UsMagazine.com.
Alanis married rapper MC Souleye aka Mario Treadway this past May 22 at their Los Angeles home. “We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other,” Alanis wrote on her Twitter page soon after tying the knot.
Souleye announced that his wife was expecting on Twitter: “Hi everyone, wanted to let you know Great news, my wife is pregnant… we’re so excited to start our family.”
The pregnancy was a bit of a surprise for the singer and rapper husband.
I actually thought I wasn’t [pregnant],” Morissette told Chelsea Handler on her late-night show, Chelsea Lately. “I had just sort of said in passing [to my doctor] that I was a little late…And he said, ‘Let’s take a quick look.’”
Shortly after, her doctor confirmed she was indeed pregnant, and despite the fact it was a surprise, the Canadian singer said she was “very happy.”
