What Happened to Bobby Tillman? The Shocking Events That Ended His Life
It is a parent’s worst nightmare, having your child die due to a senseless act of violence. And it’s a nightmare that Monique Revaida is currently living through. Her 18-year-old son Bobby Tillman was savagely beaten over the weekend in a totally random, unprovoked and senseless attack. What happened to the young man?
It all started at a house party in Atlanta that was being thrown by a young woman at her parent’s house. The soiree was supposed to be just for about ten teens but it swelled to about sixty or eighty people. When the parents made everyone leave, a fight broke out between two girls at the party and one of them hit a male bystander. The young man said he wouldn’t hit a girl but would hit the next male that walked past them. And that, sadly, was Bobby Tillman.
Bobby was hit by the man and other reportedly joined in on the attack and eighteen year old Bobby was beaten to death. Bobby did nothing to provoke the attack. He did nothing to warrant the violence that was bestowed upon him and he certainly did not deserve to have his life ended in such a horrible way.
His mother is, needless to say, heartbroken. She said that her son Bobby was, “my best friend” and “a ray of sunshine through every dark cloud that anyone had.”
“He was an angel here on Earth, and I was blessed to be his mother,” Monique Revaida said. “I just miss him and I just want justice done for him,” she said. “All I want to say is he was very strong, so I’m going to be strong for him.”
Bobby Tillman’s mom hopes that her son’s death will not be in vain saying, “something will be done about these children attacking each other for nothing.”
There were four men arrested in conjunction with the attack, Quantez Devonta Mallory, 18, Horace Damon Coleman, 19, Emmanuel Benjamin Boykins, 18, and Tracen Lamar Franklin, 19. Let’s hope that justice prevails and that Bobby’s mom has some sort of peace at the end of all this.
Our thoughts go out to Bobby Tillman’s friends and family.

Richardhg commented on Nov 09 10 at 8:11 pmThis is a consequence of stupid laws. Boys are brutalized in American culture, by the laws and those who enforce them. Doesn’t it seem crazy that women can fight and hit men without consequences, just for starters? Boys cannot retaliate against violent women, because if they protect themselves in any way, even in attempting to restrain their female attacker, they will be arrested, prosecuted, and convicted of a felony.
Ah well. Who cares? This situation has been getting crazier over the years, and nobody has cared enough to fix it.
