Brad Penny to Wed DWTS Pro Karina Smirnoff: 5 Things About Him
Brad Penny and Karina Smirnoff are engaged
Brad Penny is the lucky guy who will waltz down the aisle with Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff, 32. Penny proposed to Smirnoff on October 4 with a 4.5 carat Asscher Cut diamond.
“We kept it quiet because my family is in New York and Brad’s family is in Oklahoma so we kind of wanted them to come out and celebrate and be a family first before we let the cat out of the bag,” Smirnoff said.
So who is Brad Penny?
1. He is a pitcher with the St. Louis Cardinals. He’s also played for the Florida Marlins, LA Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants.
2. Like Smirnoff, he is 32.
3. He was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, He graduated from Broken Arrow Senior High School where he was an All-State selection and Frontier Conference Pitcher of the Year.
4. His salary for the latest season is $7.5 million.
5. He is 6’4″ and weighs 230 pounds.
So now we’ll have to see how long it’ll be before little pitchers and ballroom dancers come into the picture.
