Everyone’s initial assumption is that Matt Hughes died on the job, doing what he loved. Reports have now come out that his passing had nothing to do with storm chasing, or the weather in general.
There is some new speculation that Matt Hughes may have died from a failed suicide attempt. This leaves many people asking why he would try and take his own life, and why he would choose to leave behind his wife and two young sons.
The death of Storm Chaser Matt Hughes is an absolute tragedy. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family.
