Julien Hug: Foul Play Ruled Out
When people learned about the tragedy of Julien Hug, who was a contestant on the Jillian Harris season of The Bachelorette, it was easy to suspect that foul play might be involved. But a new report says that isn’t the case. I can’t imagine losing a child, but I wonder if that is at least somewhat comforting as his parents await more information on why their son died at such a young age. Here’s what the Sheriff’s Department is saying:
“The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is handling the incident as a death investigation where no foul play is suspected,” investigators said in a statement late on Thursday. ”The cause of death will not be released pending the Coroner’s Protocol Report.”
Hug was found deceased in the remote Pinyon Pines area off Highway 74 in Riverside County, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles. He reportedly lost contact with his family two days earlier, while on his way to manage a family restaurant in Palm Desert.
The Riverside County Coroner’s office said an autopsy would be conducted as soon as tomorrow.
