Is Dancing With The Stars Making Ballroom Dancing More Popular Than Ever?
Ballroom dancing is seeing a huge resurgence in popularity right now, and I think we can thank ‘Dancing with the Stars’ for that! DWTS has showcased talents from reality stars, soap opera stars, sports stars and even movie stars! We’ve seen young people on the show, older people on the show and a whole lot of parents, just like us, on the show!
Maybe it’s that they look like they’re having so much fun, or maybe it’s because they seem to be getting in incredible shape, but watching the stars on Dancing With The Stars perform their ballroom dancing every week makes me think it would be something fun to try! Then, there are the professionals! I mean who wouldn’t want to look like Karina Smirnoff or Derek Hough!
We’ve seen celebrity parents literally transform themselves over the course of a season – with stars like Jennifer Grey and Brandy and even Bristol Palin slowly becoming ballroom dancers. Sure, some of the stars might have had some dancing background to start with, but ballroom dancing really does seem like it’s possible for everyone!
So, does watching stars on shows like Dancing with the Stars make you want to give ballroom dancing a try?
