The Bittersweet Birth Of Celine Dion’s Twins
Celine Dion tragically lost the third child she was expecting
Celebrity mom and singer Celine Dion, who gave birth to healthy twin boys last Saturday, recently revealed that she was originally pregnant with triplets. Dion, 42, and husband Rene Angelil, 68, tragically lost the third baby shortly after Dion discovered she was pregnant. “He chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow,” said Dion of her unborn child.
In a recent interview, Angelil spoke of the bittersweet birth of their healthy twin boys, explaining that “[he and his wife] were crying” when the first of the twin boys came into this world. We were both thinking about the time it took. We are very lucky, very privileged and very fortunate to have these boys,” Angelil confesses.
Twins Eddy and Nelson join the couple’s oldest son, Rene-Charles, age 9. Our hearts go out to Celine and her family during this difficult but joyous time in their lives.
