Anna Nicole Smith's mom talks about Howard K. Stern verdict

Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer and companion, Howard K. Stern, was found guilty Thursday on two counts of conspiracy. Anna Nicole Smith’s mother, Virgie Arthur, was “not disappointed” in the verdict, according to Radar Online.

Howard K. Stern was found guilty for his role in getting Anna Nicole Smith prescription medication that ultimately led to her death: one count of conspiring to prescribe prescription drugs via fraudulent means and a count of conspiring to provide prescription drugs to an addict. He was acquitted of seven other charges.

Anna Nicole Smith’s mother’s representative told RadarOnline that “Ms. Arthur is not disappointed to see there were convictions today – especially Mr. Stern – and she’s waiting to see what the sentencing will show us.”

The trial against three defendants – Howard K. Stern and doctors Khristine Eroshevich (convicted of four charges) and Sandeep Kapoor (cleared of all counts) ended yesterday after two months of testimony.

Anna Nicole Smith died from a prescription drug overdose in 2007. She was 39.

Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn is now four years old.

Howard K. Stern returns to court on January 6 for sentencing – he could face three or more years in prison.
