Mariah Carey, after months of speculation about her being pregnant, spoke to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush: “Yes we are pregnant, this is true!”
Carey said that keeping the pregnancy news on the down low has been a challenge: “It’s been a long journey, but it’s been tough because I’ve been trying to have…. to hold onto a shred of privacy. And that was not easy.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean that Mariah Carey is telling all about her pregnancy – she won’t share how far along she is, saying, “It’s still early, I’m expecting in the spring, I’ll say that. I don’t want to give too much of like, specific outlines.”
And, with perfect timing, Carey shared the baby bump news just in time for her new “Merry Christmas 2 U” album, which drops next week.
Nick Cannon finally got his chance to beam as a proud daddy-to-be: “Uh it’s absolutely emotional, but first, so many reasons I mean obviously the greatest gift on earth is a child. But … you know how much we have been through, you know.”
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon share that Mariah had suffered a miscarriage shortly after the couple were married in 2008: “It was really sad so we had to just, we had really to absorb this and take it in.”
