After spending only a day in hospital, Charlie Sheen plans to be back on the job without missing a beat.

“Charlie will be working this week doing a cameo role, playing himself, in a small movie as a favor to a friend and has every intention of going back to work on Two and a Half Men on Tuesday,” his manager Mark Burg told PEOPLE.

“He’s looking forward to working.”

I am assuming then that there will be no rehab then?  Will he just continue on with his addictions and self-destructive ways?

Denise and Charlie were in the same hotel when the bizarre incident happened.  Hospital tests show that Charlie was also using cocaine.  He flew back to Los Angeles but not into a rehab center as predicted.

Still, his relationships with Denise and his two children, Sam, 6 and Lola, 5 continue to be strong.

“We’ve been getting along great for the last year and a half and I’m trying to protect the girls from it as much as possible,” she said.

Obviously Charlie’s kids spend more time with their mother, Denise.  Despite his troubles, Denise says Charlie is a good father.   “He comes over for dinner, he goes to birthday parties,” she said.

When asked if Charlie has ever showed up drunk to birthday parties, Richards said: “I would never allow that.”

Denise was with Charlie at the hospital and was interviewed by Joy Behar on CNN.  Watch the video here.
