Glee Rocky Horror Episode: Did Glee’s Halloween Episode Live Up to the Hype?
The Glee Rocky Horror episode aired tonight, but did the Glee Halloween edition live up to the hype?
Glee fans have been hearing about the Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween episode for months now, and in the past couple of weeks, behind-the-scenes videos and song clips have been trickling online. What fans didn’t know, however, was how the whole Rocky Horror thing would play out.
Glee’s theme shows are a lot of fun, but taking on Rocky Horror really was the perfect match for a Halloween themed show.
Best of all, they were able to weave a nice little story into the Glee Rocky Horror episode, with Will continuing to go to great lengths to win back Emma (desperate much, Will?) and plenty of Sue Sylvester to really amp up the funny.
Glee’s Rocky Horror Picture Show episode featured the following songs (Watch all of the Glee Rocky Horror song videos!):
Science Fiction Double Feature – Santana opened the show with those signature Rocky Horror lips, really setting the tone for the episode.
Dammit It, Janet – Finn and Rachel took to their roles quite nicely, despite Finn’s insecurities.
Whatever Happened To Saturday Night? – Oh, John Stamos, how I love thee. Looking great, sounding great.
Sweet Transvestite – Mercedes takes on the Rocky Horror tune and really nails it. I loved this spin on it.
Touch A Touch A Touch A Touch Me – Go Emma! Jayma Mays sounded oh-so-adorable and the chemistry between her and Will was fantastic. A shirtless Will doesn’t hurt either.
There’s A Light – Rachel and Finn sounded dreamy and cute together on this one. When aren’t they cute and dreamy though?
Time Warp – the Glee cast really do Time Warp justice, with the fun choreography and oh my god, Chris Colfer as Riff Raff is just the best.
So, what do you say? Did Glee’s “Rocky Horror Glee Show” episode live up to the hype? I’m a full-out Gleek, so I may be going overboard when I declare it was “epic,” but I know I’m not alone in my Glee love!
