Celine Dion gives birth to twin boys!
Celine Dion welcomed twins on Saturday, giving birth to the boys by Caesarean section shortly after 11 a.m.
Dion, 42, and her husband, Rene Angelil, also have a 9-year-old son.
Celine Dion’s representative tells People.com, “Celine, Rene and their son Rene-Charles are thrilled.”
Dion was hospitalized last week in an attempt to prevent early delivery of the twins. The fraternal twins were born prematurely, but are healthy and will spend the next few days in an incubator.
Her rep tells People: “Celine is resting now and they plan to discuss what to name the boys when she wakes up. René-Charles has been to the hospital to visit his brothers and is just so excited they are here.”
One of the babies weighed 5 lbs., 4 oz.; the other weighed 5 lbs., 10 oz.
