Watch Lisa Marie Presley on Oprah in this video clip, where she talks to Oprah about being married to Michael Jackson, commenting they had a “normal marriage.”
By all accounts, when Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson were married in 1994, it seemed like a setup, a put on… well, anything but normal, really.

Lisa Marie Presley’s interview with Oprah delved into Presley’s marriage to Jackson, something that she’s never discussed much before in interviews.
Oprah asked if Lisa Marie knew about Michael’s drug problems, which she didn’t seem to be clued into until shortly before she filed for divorce.
During Lisa Marie Presley’s interview on Oprah, she said that she and Michael Jackson were “really in love,” but hit “rough patches.” Presley said, “I had to make a decision to walk because I saw the drugs and the doctors coming in, and they scared me. They put me right back into what I went through with my father. That ended it.”
Presley’s interview with Oprah was eye-opening, as viewers were likely surprised to hear that Lisa Marie and Michael tried to reconcile after their split.
As for how Lisa Marie Presley felt about Michael Jackson, she says: “He had something so intoxicating about him, and when he was ready to share with you and be himself — I don’t know if I’ve ever been that intoxicated by anything. … He was like a drug for me.”

She discussed their love for each other and the ups and downs in their marriage like normal couples. You could see she is still struggling with his death. I hope one day she find’s peace with Michael’s death. A must see interview yo see with Oprah to get the full effect of Lisa’s words. LOVING.

Though I never doubt their marriage was real I felt comforted by her interview reinforcing what I already believed and assumed about the relationship. I think this must have been eating away at her since Michael died that that so much misinformation and speculation has been spread about her and Michael. While MJ haters and LMP/MJ detractors will probably always believe what they want regardless of what she says I’m still glad she did the interview. There are plenty of people who had no opinion on what to think and maybe now will have more insight on their dynamic.
