Debby Boone performed on The Oprah Winfrey Show today on an episode entitled, “What Happened To The Next Big Thing?” Child opera singer Jackie Evancho and Susan Boyle also appeared alongside Debby.
Debby Boone is best known for her hit, “You Light Up My Life”, which she sang on Oprah today.

1. Debby Boone is 54 years old and is from New Jersey. She won a Grammy for “You Light Up My Life”, after it spent 10 weeks as the number one song on the Billboard Top 100 charts.
2. She initially started her career as a country singer, and then turned to Christian music.
3. Boone has been married to her husband, Gabriel Ferrer since 1979. They have four children together, Jordan, Gabrielle, Dustin, and Tessa.
4. Debby and her husband have written several children’s books together, and all of them were illustrated by Ferrer.
5. In 2005, Debby restarted her recording career with her album, Reflections of Rosemary, which was a tribute to her mother-in-law, Rosemary Clooney.
