Courteney Cox Leaning on BFF Jennifer Aniston After Split

Both Courteney Cox and David Arquette are going through a major adjustment after announcing their marriage is over.
Neither ”is holding up great, but they are adjusting to life on their own again,” a family source tells the new Us Weekly of the couple, who shocked fans Monday by announcing that they have separated after 11 years of marriage.
David, 39, is relying on his siblings for support, including his sister and Medium star Patricia.
Meanwhile Jennifer Aniston is comforting her BFF Courteney. “Courteney is leaning on Jen,” says a source.
It’s Jen’s turn now to listen to Courteney’s woes. During Jen and Brad Pitt’s dirvorce, Courteney was there to help her through. Jen also leaned on Courteney after other break-ups with John Mayer and Bradley Cooper.
Perhaps their close friendship is one of the reasons Courteney couldn’t ”take care” of David anymore, he suggested in a very candid Howard Stern interview Tuesday, after which he apologized for spilling too much.
“She tries to take on everybody’s problems,” he said. “She’s the mother to everyone. That’s why she doesn’t want to be the mother to me anymore.”
What a silly statement for David to make. It’s not Courteney’s job to be David’s mother – he’s an adult!
For their 11th wedding anniversary this past June, he said she bought him a motorcycle. “She said to me, ‘I don’t want to be your mother anymore,’” he recalled.
Well sure, if he’s acting like a wild teenager. She was bound to get tired of being the only responsible adult in the marriage, don’t you think?
