Chilean Miner Mistress: Will Miner’s Wife Leave Him After He Is Rescued?
Will Chilean Miner Yonni Barrios's wife leave him?
Typically when spouses cheat, they eventually get caught one way or another. For Chilean miner Yonni Barrios, his wife found out that he had a mistress when the mistress herself showed up at the site of the mine accident screaming his name at the same time she did.
Talk about being in a tight spot! Guess there really wasn’t much that Yonni could do to defend himself considering that he was trapped in a hole under the earth for eight weeks. I guess he tried to make the best of the situation by asking that both his wife, Marta Salinas, and his mistress, Susana Valenzuela, be present when he is rescued from the mine.
Salinas is refusing to attend his dramatic rescue, and we can’t help but wonder if she will leave him after he is back on solid ground. After all, she may have said that she is grateful that he is alright, but that doesn’t mean that she plans on staying with him now that she knows about Valenzuela.
Do you think she will leave him? Or will the dramatic rescue of the miners bring the couple back together and remind them that love and family are the most important thing?

Beyond that, she should wait until all the book and movie deals have come to fruition and then leave him if she so desires. People make mistakes. Who knows what will happen.

Look Yonni, if wifey can’t get with the program it’s time for you to change the channel… anyway, I’m sure that there are plenty of young, willing, and able Chilean women who will be happy to have some fun with you and the other guys who have just escaped your horrible situation, so now will probably be a good time for you to cut the wife AND the mistress loose.

If I was her I would of ended up in jail… lol. I hope the best comes to her and if she has children may God watch over them always. And as for the… guy and the… other girl… who cares. The girlfriend was a little too much, and it seems that he whispered for her to calm down. They have been together 3 years. He wasn’t a happy camper. I would have stayed back, and waited.

But if I were a Chilean ( All men are polygamous anyways), I would mend my ways and apologize to the wife. I wonder why this guy is looking elsewhere when he has a wife. Maybe the wife is not being a total wife that is why this guy has looked elsewhere.
Wangari, commented on Oct 14 10 at 5:26 amwell, i guess to get to that decision, the wife will have to first get over the public humiliation…the whole idea of being the man in a woman’s life is protecting her form the hurt and humiliation that you indiscretions will bring her…so he’s failed on that one…although his forty days were about up….he’s failed majorly. funny wnough for a woman, its about the time and energy she has out into the ten years..so she’ll most probabaly not leave him, after some duration of waht will most likely be vary frosty relations.

I probably would have gone just to see him, but I wouldn’t have touched him unless it was to throw him back in the mine. I would say that people make mistakes, but married 28 years, mistress for 10 is no mistake. He’s an idiot, and I can’t believe she didn’t know or at least suspect. She should dump him and take as much of his movie/book $$$$ as she can. You know, claim world-wide public humiliation and such.

And as we say in Spanish “Que descarado” translates to the nerve of him to ask the both of them to be there. That showed where his mind was at… I would have left too!

To ask for his lover to be at the rescue site says it all. To continue to see her when asked not to REALLY says it all….True love will prevail.

Funny how he didn’t even say anything. Well, If I were the wife, I would stay to see how much he is going to make off the movie and endorsements. Because there is no way I would let him give that chick the money for the 28 years I put up with him.

That being said, she will never ever be happy with him again! Wait till the money comes in from books n movies then leave him. She put to many years of her life into the relationship and to just walk away and give him the freedom to live life with someone else just like that! No way! She should collect and then give him the boot and pray that he somehow falls into another hole and doesn’t come out.
