Did Courteney Cox and David Arquette Have An Open Marriage?
It’s not really that surprising that Courteney Cox and David Arquette split. There were rumors a few months ago that Courteney was getting close with her Cougar Town costar, Brian Van Holt. When this first happened there was speculation that the couple had an open marriage, but could that actually be true?
Courteney spent the night at Brian’s home one night after a tiring day of shooting causing many to believe that this sort of behavior was OK with David. “The talk on the set was that she and David had an open marriage,” an on-set source told RadarOnline.com. “David came to the Cougar Town set maybe four or five times over the course of the season, that’s not a lot compared with other actors.
But does this mean David was ok with it? I don’t think so. The couple’s split was announced yesterday and it has already turned ugly. David even called into the Howard Stern show today to brag about having sex with a 28 year bartender named Jasmin Waltz, saying “my sexual encounter made me pretty feel manly.” If this was the norm, he probably wouldn’t be feeling so excited and wouldn’t be sharing.
The pair had reportedly been having trouble since 2007 and had even been in couples therapy. Perhaps they decided to spend some time apart a few months ago, see other people and see how it goes?
