‘Modern Family’ Recognized On National Coming Out Day
Today (October 11) is National Coming Out Day, and in honor of this day it only seems fit to shine a light on those who are promoting equal rights, specifically ABC’s hit Modern Family.
Emmy winner Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, of Modern Family, accepted the National Arts and Culture Award on behalf of the amazingly funny series this past weekend at the Human Rights Campaign’s National Dinner.
The night prior, the show was also honored at the GLSEN Respect Awards!
I was just talking about how I haven’t laughed so hard with a television show since Friends. And now, on top of being superbly humorous, this family sitcom can now be proud of their ongoing efforts to support the gay community!
Have you done anything for National Coming Out Day?
