Toni Braxton files for bankruptcy again
Toni Braxton has filed for bankruptcy… again. Didn’t she learn anything the first time?
TMZ.com reports that Toni Braxton has between $10 million and $50 million of unpaid debt. Apparently paying the bills wasn’t a priority.
Toni Braxton has sold more than 40 million albums, has appeared on Broadway and headlined in Las Vegas, so it’s not like she’s a washed up celeb. So, where did all her money go?
Among the debts that Braxton needs to pay up for: The Four Seasons Hotel, Neiman Marcus, Tiffany & Co., BMW, and the Internal Revenue Service, not to mention the DMV in Nevada and California.
Here’s a tip: when you’re broke, skip Tiffany’s and Neiman Marcus, and stay at a more affordable hotel than the Four Seasons. C’mon!
Braxton estimates her net worth between $1 – $10 million – clearly not enough to cover her level of debt.
Toni Braxton also filed for bankruptcy in 1998. Earlier this year, the IRS filed a lien against her for $396,000.
Do I smell a reality show or another Dancing with the Stars type gig around the corner for Toni? Celebrity yard sale? She needs the money!
Okay, celebrities, just because you’re famous, please remember you also have to live within your means! What lesson is she teaching her kids, Denham Cole Braxton-Lewis and Diesel Ky Braxton-Lewis?

modicia martin commented on Oct 08 10 at 11:43 amToni you made a lot of mistake but that do not mean it is over.Sometimes we pay to much attention to our riches, and money, but all of that is vanity, maybe God want to get your attention so he allowed these things to happen so you can say God I need you to take me out of this. I know a lot of celebrity do not believe in God, but he is the only one who give us our talent he bless us with good things with out God we are nothing.So it is not over until he say so God have the last say, so you just say God show me what to do that your name will be glorify through me and I sure he will put something in your spirit may be he will tell you to try to sing some gospel , you may never know. Just trust him for everything he could heal your son and he can heal your heart and he could restore everything that you lost, try him and you will see how good God is you have nothing to lose.
Michelle commented on Oct 16 10 at 10:08 pmI think that she’s just doing what a lot of rich caucasians have been doing for many years…Ie. running up millions of dollars in debt and then filing bankruptcy and having it all wiped away. That is the main reason for the bankruptcy reform…It was fine for the rich but when poor people started to figure out that you could max out your debt and file for bankruptcy and have it all wiped away! Then all of a sudden it a became a problem.
