Is Tiger Woods Cigar Guy actually Sacha Baron Cohen?
Is Tiger Woods Cigar Guy really Sacha Baron Cohen? That’s the rumor going around the web, two days after Cigar Guy became the most popular internet meme since Sad Keanu. Let’s examine the evidence: Baron Cohen dresses up in crazy costumes for his movies, this guy was wildly out of context in a wig and smoking a cigar, and the Ryder Cup is a public event that would seem the perfect place for the father of two to pull one of his crazy stunts.
More evidence: For a short period earlier this week, under Baron Cohen’s “future projects” section on his Wikipedia page, it claimed that the comedian had been in Wales during the Ryder Cup, filming material for a future project. (And we all know you can trust Wikipedia, right? Haha.) But that entry has since been edited out.
I think it’s very plausible that Cigar Guy is Baron Cohen in disguise; but if it is, his makeup people should win an Oscar, because I don’t see a great deal of physical resemblance between Cigar Guy and Baron Cohen, especially the nose (Cohen’s is more narrow) and the jowls (Cigar Guy is thicker).
You be the judge: Do you think Cigar Guy might be Baron Cohen in disguise? Does that mean it wasn’t actually a fan paying tribute to Miguel Angel Jimenez, the popular theory on the web yesterday?
