Stephenie Meyer Releasing Twilight Saga Guide April 2011
Stephenie Meyer is annoying her Twilight series fans by releasing a new book that is NOT Midnight Sun, but instead is a companion guide called The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide.
I’ve been reading loads of comments from Twilight fans who find this completely unnecessary and a waste of time.
There seems to be an overall consensus that if Stephenie Meyer instead finished Midnight Sun, her fans would be beyond happy. She already disappointed readers by releasing the Twilight novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner… and now this.
The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide is described by publisher Little Brown Books for Young Readers as the “definitive encyclopedic reference” to the Twilight Saga, with nearly 100 full-color illustrations and photographs.
Meyer said in a release, “I’m always amazed at how many in-depth questions my readers have about my characters and the world within the Twilight Saga,” and promises to give extensive details in the new book “including character histories, like Alice’s back story.”
Meyer adds, “I hope the fans feel it was worth the wait!”
Stephenie Meyer’s The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide will be available on April 12, 2011 for $24.99.
The companion guide was supposed to be released in December 2008, as was printed in the back of Breaking Dawn, so fans have been waiting quite awhile for the release.
Are you looking forward to The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide or is it just a fluff piece?
