The Cigar Guy in Tiger Woods’ picture has become an internet sensation, becoming a meme inspired by putting the Cigar Guy’s head on a variety of other pictures. Hoax or not, who doesn’t love a good Photoshop project?
Who is Cigar Guy? Was his mug in the Tiger Woods photo a total set up? While no details have yet emerged about who the mysterious Cigar Guy is, it’s pretty certain that a character like that is a definite hoax.
As we all know, you’ve gotta have a gimmick!
Let’s analyze Cigar Guy a little bit to figure out who this character is. First up, the hair. This close up picture looks like the guy is wearing a wig – or just has a really bad hair style. There’s nothing very natural about the way the hair lays in the front, so that alone is a tipoff.
And yes, that mustache could be authentic, but dang if it doesn’t look like Cigar Guy visited his local Halloween store and glued that thing to his face.
Finally, the cigar – what’s the deal with that? It makes his face stand out even more among the golf fans, and like I said, you’ve got to have a gimmick.
Some are noting that Cigar Guy may be dressing in costume to look like Spanish golfer Miguel Angel Jimenez.
