Watch Lisa Rinna in this Today show video clip, where she talks about her lip reduction surgery and her new TV Land reality show with husband Harry Hamlin, called Harry Loves Lisa.
Lisa Rinna’s uber trout pout lips had become a part of the actress’ identity, with many criticizing Rinna for taking her lip injections to the extreme.
Rinna has admitted in the past that the lip enhancement was an impulsive decision, but over the summer, Lisa Rinna had lip reduction surgery to take that mouth down a notch.
On the Today show, Lisa Rinna tells Meredith Vieira about the lip surgery, “I never had thought you could do anything about it. I thought you have silicone put in, it’s permanent.” When she discovered there was surgery she said, “I was like, yes! Let’s do it!”
Lisa Rinna wasn’t happy with her lip size, saying, “I no longer wanted my lip to be what defines me.”
Harry Hamlin joined Lisa Rinna in the Today show appearance to talk about their new reality show, saying, “I fell in love with those lips. I kissed those lips for 18 years. There’s nothing wrong with them, I can tell you that.”
How sweet is that?
People.com notes that Lisa Rinna’s lip is still swollen from the August reduction surgery, so it won’t be healed fully for six months. Rinna notes, “It’s a work in progress, but I feel fantastic.”
