Tyler Clementi's Parents Speak Out About Tragedy
In the wake of the tragedy of the death of Rutgers Student, Tyler Clementi, his parents, Joe and Jane Clementi, are speaking out about the loss of their beloved son in the hopes that people will learn a few lessons about compassion.
Tyler’s parents issued a statement saying, “Regardless of legal outcomes, our hope is that our family’s personal tragedy will serve as a call for compassion, empathy and human dignity.” They did not comment any further, and ask for privacy during this horrible and devastating time.
Tyler Clementi was a freshman at Rutgers University who chose to end his life after his roommate, Dharun Ravi, along with accomplice Molly Wei, posted a live video of him online having an intimate encounter with another male student.
Joe and Jane Clementi are overwhelmed by the support of the public and also said in their statement, “The outpouring of emotion and support from our friends, community and family – and from people across the country – has been deeply moving. We thank each of your from the bottom of our hearts.”
Tyler Clementi’s funeral will be a private, family event.
Our hearts and prayers are with Joe and Jane Clementi.

Tylers music plays in all of us that love him unconditionally..if only you knew Tyler you beautiful young man how loved you are by all who write here and shed silent tears trying to explain our sadness at your leaving, The world spins a slower and a little sadder that another of lifes wonders has left and switched of another light
