Rick Sanchez Throws On-Air Temper Tantrum – The CNN Anchor Needs a Time Out!
CNN Anchor Rick Sanchez is in desperate need of a time out following an on-air temper tantrum he threw during a recent radio interview.
Sanchez was a wee bit irritated that he had just lost his prized 8 PM time-slot on the news channel when he launched off a bitter tirade at everything from the CNN management to Jon Stewart.
During the interview on Pete Dominick’s Sirius XM show, Sanchez blamed his demotion on everything from the ethnicity of the CNN Executives to the constant bombardment he gets on The Daily Show to his own Latin roots. The only thing he didn’t blame was his own lackluster performance in the prime-time slot!
Is this really the guy we want telling our family the news each night?
Sanchez’s appearance began rather innocently as a promotion for her new book Conventional Idiocy, but quickly spiralled out of control into a full-scale temper tantrum aimed at anyone that came to mind.
“It’s not just the right that does this. ‘Cause I’ve known a lot of elite, Northeast establishment liberals that may not use this as a business model, but deep down, when they look at a guy like me, they look at a … they see a guy automatically who belongs in the second tier and not the top tier,” he said of the CNN brass. ”In his mind, I can’t be an anchor, an anchor’s what you give the high profile white guys.”
“It happens all the time. I think to a certain extent, Jon Stewart and Colbert are the same way. I think Jon Stewart’s a bigot … Yeah, I think he’s a bigot … I think he looks at the world through his mom who was a schoolteacher and his dad who was a physicist, or something like that. Great, I’m so happy that he grew up in a suburban, middle class New Jersey home with everything that you could ever imagine.”
It just went downhill from there…. is this really the guy we want telling the news to our families every night? Sanchez needs to learn a lesson that toddlers everywhere must learn to master — you don’t need to express all of your feelings the moment you have them!
