Jenny McCarthy talks Jim Carrey breakup on Oprah

Watch Jenny McCarthy on Oprah in these video clips, talking about her breakup with Jim Carrey for the first time in an interview.

Oprah asks, “When did you know when it’s over?” and Jenny McCarthy responds, “When it’s not fun anymore.”

Wow. For things to not be fun anymore with Jim Carrey, you have to expect the relationship hit a sour note. They seemed like a pretty well-matched, fun-loving couple, so I was surprised when Jenny and Jim broke up.

Still, this is another Hollywood relationship, and the chances of those surviving is never good. Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy split in April after five years together.

As for the breakup, McCarthy says she’s resilient: “I’m a warrior mom… I’ve always gotten back on my feet.”

Oprah asks what many have wondered: “Any chance you’ll get back together?”

Jenny doesn’t have an answer, saying, “I didn’t think about that one.”

McCarthy says she is dating, calling it “diet dating,” so nothing super-serious, and noting, “I don’t need a lover to have love in my life.”
Still, she is seeing someone: “I’m not taking anything too serious. There is a guy that I like and I would call it exclusive because I don’t like to jump around too much.”

Jenny McCarthy is promoting her new book, “Love, Lust & Faking It.”

Right now, Jenny seems most focused on being mom to her 8-year-old son, Evan.
