Lindsay Lohan Back In Jail – Can She Blame Twitter?
Lindsay Lohan, she likes to over share. And this time her tweeting is apparently getting her into trouble…big trouble. Just two days after tweeting a cheery shout out to her mom writing, “Happy birthday to the best mom ever!! @DinaMLohan I love you!! X,” she confessed to her 1,227,871 Twitter followers that had a “set back”.
She had failed a recent drug test, and reportedly tested positive for cocaine and amphetamines two weeks ago. She even told USWeekly, in regards to the test, that “I’m fine. They’re all nuts.” But after her public confession about said “set back” the judge issues a warrant for arrest. So what did she say in these tweets that are playing such a big part of her current legal and criminal trouble?
She wrote over series of tweets:
“Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result. Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future. This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences. I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!”
Doesn’t she know people read her tweets? It refreshing that she actually being honest about having substance abuse problems but she should have known that a public confession would seal her fate? Lesson for the kids. 1) don’t do drugs. 2) Don’t Twitter about anything that can and will be used against you!
