Elisabeth Moss Divorcing Fred Armisen

A few months after Elisabeth Moss and Fred Armisen separated, Moss made their split official by filing for divorce. The Mad Men star filed papers this week in the L.A. Superior Court and cited irreconcilable differences, with their date of separation June 26.
The 28-year-old actress wed the 43-year-old Saturday Night Live actor only eight months before they separated–a short marriage even by Hollywood standards. When the pair originally split, a source told People their work schedules and long distance between them were cause for their marital troubles, and apparently they just couldn’t get past that.
Though Moss is the one who officially filed for divorce, Armisen definitely doesn’t seem to be having trouble with the break-up–he’s already moved on. The actor has already been dating his 23-year-old co-star, Abby Elliot. Perhaps it’s a good thing Moss filed for divorce before the two had any kids–it would have been that much more painful to see dad move on so quickly.
