Why Balthazar Getty’s Wife Took Him Back After Sienna Miller Affair
Balthazar Getty and wife Rosetta are featured in the current Harper’s Bazaar, with the couple talking about why she took him back after his high profile affair with actress Sienna Miller.
You may or may not recall that Balthazar Getty was photographed in 2008 kissing a topless Sienna Miller on a vacation in Italy. Just months after Getty’s wife had given birth to their fourth child.
Balthazar Getty tells Harper’s Bazaar, “Here’s the bottom line: It was a very challenging time for everybody involved. But I loved and missed my family too much not to make it work. [Wife] Rosetta is understanding enough and spiritual enough to let us try.”
Getty adds, “In a way it—I don’t know …I feel like we’re better than we’ve ever been.”
Dare I say that Rosetta is more understanding than most women then?
Perhaps the kids factor into the equation too – Balthazar and Rosetta have four children together: Cassius Paul, Grace, Violet, and June Catherine.
Rosetta tells the magazine, “I’m open to talking about it because I believe we go through things in a public way to help other people get through it. I’d love to talk about it more with people when I’m clearer about it. I’m going to have to explain this to my daughters one day. I chose not to act from ego because I just felt like it would be too crushing for my children.”
Balthazar Getty most recently starred on Brothers & Sisters, and is oil heir and great-grandson of late billionaire Jean Paul Getty. Rosetta Getty is a fashion designer.
This issue of Harper’s Bazaar is on newsstands on September 28.
Bottom line, we have no idea what was at play with Balthazar’s relationship with his wife and how the affair with Sienna Miller went down, but I don’t think I’d be so understanding about taking him back after photos of him and a topless Sienna were everywhere.
What do you think of Rosetta taking Balthazar back?
