Did Warren Beatty and Annette Bening breakup? That’s the rumor going around Hollywood, that the supercouple may be parting ways after nearly two decades together. But, and this may be the biggest shocker, it wasn’t his womanizing ways that did them in. Rather, it’s a disagreement about parenting.
The New York Post reports that Bening’s publicist warned reporters at her latest premiere not to ask about her family and specifically forbade them to ask any questions about husband Warren Beatty.
That plus the fact that Beatty hasn’t accompanied Bening on her premiere outings for “The Kids Are All Right” has prompted the breakup speculation.
Why now? Well, the Post says the two are fighting over 18-year-old daughter Kathlyn’s desire to have a sex change. Annette is okay with her decision; Warren not so much.
Kathlyn is the oldest of the pair’s four children. They’ve been married for 18 years, which is about 17 years and 11 months longer than most of Beatty’s relationships have lasted.

I’m sure that comment was meant to be funny, but Beatty has had several long(er) lasting relationships: with Julie Christie from 1966 until 1974. With Diane Keaton from 1978 until 1982. With Natalie Wood, Joan Collins and Leslie Caron each around 2 years. Do your homework, or quit trying to be funny.

mrs renata carter commented on Jan 28 12 at 8:32 pmI am saddened about Mr Beatty’s eldest daughter (named in honor of his beloved mother). Somehow it seems that ‘Kathlyn’ was damaged by low self-esteem or other image problems. I don’t agree with naming children after another family member…everyone needs to be seen as an individual. The Hollywood celebrity of both parents could have contributed to ‘Kathlyn’ being unhappy inside herself. Her father was a notorious womanizer and that could not have been pleasant. It is all very sad. What if changing her sex does not make her/him happy? There is no going back. Perhaps Warren should have raised his children in a regular place…not Hollywood.
