Sextuplets Take New York premieres on TLC

Sextuplets Take New York premieres tonight, September 14, on TLC – and this morning, Today show’s Natalie Morales had the pleasure of interviewing Victor and Digna Carpio.

Watch the Today show interview video of the Carpio family featured on Sextuplets Take New York – anyone else having a flashback to when Natalie interviewed the clan from Raising Sextuplets? While the Carpio kids weren’t quite the handful that the Masche kids were, it still was a fairly hectic interview. In fact, I was so distracted by the Carpio sextuplets, that I could barely focus on what was being said in the interview.

The Sextuplets Take New York premiere introduces viewers to Victor and Digna Carpio, their 9-year-old son and six 22-month old babies.

Needless to say, their little house is hectic!

The question on Kate Plus 8 fans’ minds though: will the Carpio family replace the Gosselins?

TLC is promoting the Carpio babies (four boys, two girls) as America’s first Latino sextuplets. In a promo video for the new series, Victor says, “We don’t know how we do it,” while his wife adds, “Our life is loco. Crazy.”

Here’s hoping the Carpios keep it real and don’t turn into fame hungry Jon and Kate Gosselin.

Will you watch Sextuplets Take New York? If you watched the show, what do you think?

Just saw the show and I have to say that I love the Carpios family. They seem like such a genuine couple. A real and decent family that’s not all about fame and money. very delightful

I loved the first show of them. they were great. A much more loving and balanced family than the gosslins ever were. Really hope to see much more of them.

I loved seeing this episode and can’t wait to continue seeing them. It’s refreshing to see a real couple for once. As a viewer I was touched by the older son and I felt the love which now a days you can’t really say that about other’s shows.

WOW I LOVE THIS SHOW!! IS THE TRUE REALITY HOW HARD IS TO RAISE A FAMILY, KEEP GOING GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING, AND I LOVE HOW DIGNA IS!!!!!!

I love this show. All of the kids are so cute and the oldest boy is amazing. He’s so helpful, loving, and seems like an all around great kid and a great big brother. The couple is adorable and you can tell they truly love each other and are REAL partners. Amazing! Love this show. I’d love to keep watching it, but I need TLC to get rid of Sister Wives. That show makes me want to boycott TLC altogether.

So refreshing to see a family like this on TV….keep it coming! I want more.

If TLC is smart, it will totally replace Kate + 8 with this loving and genuine family, something Kate and Jon never were and Kate will never be. I can’t wait for more of the Carpio family.

I am sooo over Kate Plus 8. LOVED the Carpios — what a sweet, genuine, loving family! Jhuan Carlos is an wonderful little boy and amazing big brother. I hope he always keeps that sweet spirit. I can really feel for Digna and Victor and yet it is obvious how much they love their children and are doing their best for them. My children and grandchildren who live in Ecuador and I know the country and the culture so this show really resonated with me. TLC–please keep the Carpios around for a long time!

It’s so refreshing to see a “real” family, that cares so much about the family unit, on TLC. I rate the Caprios right up there with the 19 Kids and Counting family. Good people.
The Caprios are so loving and tender-hearted. I hope to see some generous viewers maybe make donations to the Carpios, the way people did for the Duggar family. The Carpios were so thankful to be getting a van, though very concerned about the $600 monthly payment. Would love to have seen a dealership donate a new van to them. You can tell they are the kind of people that would be very grateful. I’m sure with the expenses that come with raising 7 children in New York, the Carpios could use any help and obviously, they are the kind of people who would really appreciate it. I can’t wait to watch the next episode and I wish only good things for this sweet family. If I lived in Queens, I would offer to babysit so the Carpios and their 9-year old son could spend the day together, just the three of them. It was so touching when Victor broke down crying as he talked about not being able to spend enough time with his son. God Speed Carpios! You’ve won my heart and I will definitely be watching each week and hoping for only good things for your family.

Enjoy this show very much. They are such a loving and humble family. The joy and happines they have for each other is a pleasure to watch. Those children will grow up to be loving and happy and humble like there parents. Unlike another family show witch should be taken off the air!!!! Love the Carpios and wish them happiness!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God for this show. TLC has to do more shows like that, real life , real people not those who want to use television to show up and make money like Kate plus 8. I really love it the Carpios and the all America is proud of a channel where family can watch and learn for good examples.

Eliene commented on Sep 22 10 at 11:36 am

I love this family! Please, TLC, do yourselves a favor and GET RID of Kate and her 8! We’re over them now. The Duggars are great, the Carpios are great, and what happened to the Coles? Were they too real for reality tv?

niya commented on Sep 22 10 at 1:12 pm

I love this family! TLC good Job!

I Love this program, they are so real. I love the way Digna is with her children. They are very humble and loving people. I love the spanglish they speak. Que Dios los bendiga! Please always be the humble people that you are and don’t let this show change you.

I like to watch this delightful family. They are much better family idea and the Kate plus 8. All her new season she is parading around in short shorts and her boops showing. This mother is pretty and dresses pretty but doesn’t need to be a SEX Goddess like Kate. I am sick of the Kate show. Welcom Victor and Digna

Dorothy Decker commented on Sep 28 10 at 11:31 pm

Love this show. The mom and dad have a great sense of humor and respect and love each other. That’s what kids really need to see.

What a pleasure to watch the Capio family. They are so real, loving, and caring to each other and their children. I only wish I could help them out, but I don’t have the funds. They brought tears to my eyes when Victor in New York expressed how lucky they were to live in this country. More people should go by his great example and enjoy what we have not what we don’t. I can’t wait to see more of this wonderful family. God Bless you all and stay true to yourself.

Bonnie commented on Oct 07 10 at 10:48 pm

KIM commented on Oct 08 10 at 2:49 pm

Love this family!! Love the show… they seem to be greatful for all the wonderful gifts they have received with these 6 babies and especially Jhuan Carlos. What a true reality show… I love how Digna shows her emotions and is not acting! Victor seems to be a great father and supportive husband and Jhuan Carlos is an awesome son and big brother! God Bless this family!!! Such a proud, uplifting, True American Dream family!!!

Ashley commented on Oct 09 10 at 12:34 am

I absolutely love this family! My entire family watches this show. I remember when the babies were born and at that time I could see that this family was very much different from the other sextuplet families. The Carpio’s are very grounded, nurturing, and it is very evident that Victor and Digna love each other very much. I remember watching the episode when Jaden was possibly diagnosed with cerebral palsy and he ended up showing the doc’s that he will be just fine and stood up in the playpen on his own. I was in tears! Looking forward to many more episodes and watching these absolutely adorable babies grow! Wonderful and blessed family!
