Tune in to the Stand Up to Cancer 2010 telethon, September 10

The Stand Up to Cancer 2010 telethon event will air tonight, and plenty of celebrity parents will be a part of the telecast to raise money for cancer research.

Be on the lookout for these celebrities at Stand Up to Cancer 2010 – some will speak during the telecast, others will perform and still others will be answering the phones!

Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Lance Armstrong, Denzel Washington, Adam Sandler, Michael Douglas, Elizabeth Edwards, Sofia Vergara, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kyra Sedgwick and Jane Lynch, as well as new mommy-to-be and cancer survivor Christina Applegate (we’ll be on bump watch!) can be seen during the Stand Up to Cancer event.

Musical performances by celeb parents include Billie Joe Armstrong, The Edge, Stevie Wonder, and Neil Diamond.

Of course, there will be plenty of non-parental celeb types on hand at the telethon too, so tune in to watch and donate!

The 2008 Stand Up to Cancer telethon raised more than $100 million for cancer research. I love the Stand Up to Cancer event – it’s always nice to see famous folks using their celebrity to do some good.

You can make your donations at the Stand Up To Cancer website or by phone – who knows what celebrity you may talk to when you call in?
