Did Kate Gosselin slam Jon on Live with Regis and Kelly?
Kate Gosselin sits down on Live with Regis and Kelly in this video clip to talk about her reality series… and to slam ex Jon Gosselin?
First up, Kelly Ripa congratulates Kate on her Emmy opening number appearance, where Gosselin notes that the script was really funny, she can’t dance and “if you can’t laugh at yourself, what is life?
Kelly talks about Kate Gosselin’s public divorce, raising 8 kids, and the fact that she’s always on the cover of tabloids, bringing up with the producer: “do you think kate, knowing what she knows now, would go back and do it all again or would you not choose to have the cameras in your life?”
Kate, as always, says it’s a huge blessing and she’s solely providing for her 8 kids with this opportunity. She never envisioned eight kids or this career – but she’s grateful that she has a job that where the kids can be alongside her and “it’s working for us.”
Anderson Cooper (guest host on Regis and Kelly today) asks if Jon is providing for the kids at all and Kate responds, “I’m doing it by myself… since our divorce, it’s me.”
Anderson asks, “Is your relationship with Jon as contentious as the media makes it out to be?”
Kate says “it depends on the day… my focus is the kids and doing the best for them…he’s still their father. I do try to keep it as peaceful as possible.”
And here’s where the Jon Gosselin slam comes in. Kate talks about the kids spending time with their father, but sometimes wanting to come home. Kate kind of got a dig in here on Jon, didn’t she?
Anderson calls her on it too – “you’re saying, basically, they don’t enjoy being with him”
Oh Anderson, how I love thee.
Kate explains it’s very new, the “switching back and forth thing” with custody.
What do you think of Kate Gosselin’s “career” as a reality star? Is it time to pull the plugs on those cameras, or should she continue to do it to provide for the family?
Update: Jon Gosselin responded to Kate’s claims by venting on Twitter:
“As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it’s a waste of my time and energy. I am ‘rising above’, and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what’s important.”

JJ commented on Sep 10 10 at 2:57 pmWhat’s this crap about how he’s only been taking them and spending time with them for 3 months? This woman lies through her teeth! There are paparazzi pictures of him with the kids consistently! There has never been a major break when he didn’t have visitation with the kids at least every couple of weeks. In fact, if I remember correctly, he took her back to court to get the visitation straightened out because she was leaving the kids with nannies for a week or more at a time instead of just letting Jon have the kids while she was out galavanting. This woman is mentally ill. Seriously, I’ve never seen such a selfish, manipulative woman in my life.

And as one said here Jon has been there since day 1, there are paparazzi pics on the net of Jon picking up, being with and returning kids. And it’s funny how only 1 or 2 pics of Kate with the kids, they are smiling(out of hundreds) and all but a few pics with Jon the kids are always smiling. She/TLC are tryin to get people to feel sorry for her, cause the rating have dropped again.
star commented on Sep 10 10 at 4:25 pmI never liked Kate’s behavior on the show. I felt like she did not respect her husband and talked to him as if her were one of the children. I do believe that Kate was taking a jab @ Jon. From day 1 when that show began she just has not been a very nice or pleasant person. I stopped watching the show long ago but she needs to do whatever she needs to do to support the children, although I do believe Jon is being supportive. By the way the children are absolutely beautiful to bad their mother’s attitude isn’t and if she is not careful she is going to have trouble on her hands once they get older and realize what is going on and watch re-runs of the show.

She needs to get over the fact that Jon didn’t want HER anymore; however, he is still the children’s FATHER and he WILL continue to take an active role in their lives. And, lest “we” sheeple all forget, Jon is the one who wanted ethical marriage counseling (NOT w/Dr. Shill) and Kate was the one that, in October of 2008, announced to Jon “I’m done,” ending the marriage.
That high road she’s taking is paved with the most outrageous LIES I’ve ever heard someone dare to say publicly; she really is a sick sick woman. She continues to demonsrate how much she does not, and never has, loved her children. She is incapable of feeling real emotions, especially LOVE.
Janie Bond commented on Sep 10 10 at 9:03 pmSo Kate is saying that the courts didn’t order Jon to pay support for his 8 children, yeah right! You know very well that he was ordered to pay support and by all accounts a hefty amount. If she wasn’t getting the money, she would have him in court so fast his head would spin! I think she plays with semantics, since he’s no longer allowed on the property, I do believe the reports that she bought his ownership out of the house and that there’s where the money “support” is coming from, she can therefore claim he’s not paying her … however, she is receiving money indirectly from him!

Jon got the short end of the stick while on the show with her and she is still sticking it to him. Not that Jon doesn’t have issues, but I think his greatest flaw was getting with Kate in the first place.

My kids would not want to go but they must and I did everything to encourage them to go until they are old enough to make their own choice. My kids would tell me in PRIVATE not wanting me to tell their father cuz they knew it would hurt him. That is what a mother does protect her children especially not saying PUBLICLY what they told me privately. that is the issue…..
