Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Danielle Staub was on the Early Show this morning to talk about the RHONJ drama, reunion show, and her apology to the other housewives. This week it was announced that Danielle Staub would not be returning to the series.
Danielle Staub explained why she left the series and pimps her new book, “The Naked Truth: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
First up, the burning question: “Were you fired, or did you quit?”
“Neither,” says Staub, “I walked away. It was a good time for me to leave.” Danielle added, “It was a good time to leave. What was left — kill me? There was no peace in two years. And I just felt like I had done all I could do. There was not going to be resolve.”
During the reunion show, Danielle Staub stormed off stage not once, but twice… and then ended the whole show by hugging Teresa and Jacqueline and offering a hand shake to Caroline.
How sincere were Staub’s apologies on the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion show?
“I can’t speak for anyone but myself. I just know for me, it was something that came from my heart,” explains Danielle. “I did feel her exhale. I don’t need her to admit that. I don’t need anybody to admit that. I work on people’s energy — not work on them, but work with them and I feed off of that. So yeah, I was feeling a lot of closure between she and I.”
