Makeda Jahnesta Marley: Following In Father Bob Marley’s Footsteps?
Bob Marley is definitely a Reggae legend, but it seems that he’s also passed down some traits other than music to his youngest daughter, Makeda Jahnesta Marley.
Makeda lives in Philadelphia, and has just admitted to growing marijuana outside her home there. The 29 year old resides about 30 miles outside of Philadelphia in a town called Caln. She pleaded guilty to having at least a dozen or so large marijuana plants growing there.
She was actually arrested back in 2008 after being caught by police when she was taking the plants out of her basement.
It’s no big secret that Makeda’s father, Bob Marley enjoyed smoking marijuana, but somehow I don’t think Makeda realizes that the laws in the states are a little stricter about these things than they are in Jamaica. Generally, growing drugs in your yard is kind of frowned upon, don’t you think?
Makeda is definitely following in her father’s footsteps, but do you think he’d be proud of her? She supposedly spent everything she received in the trust fund he left her. How would he feel about her blowing all that money on ganja?
