America’s Got Talent Vote: Who Will Make The Final Four?
The “America’s Got Talent” vote will send four acts on to the finals of “America’s Got Talent” 2010, and the big question for many of us is whether 10-year-old opera singer Jackie Evancho will be one of those acts. Her performance last night would seem to guarantee her a spot in the finals, even though judge Sharon Osbourne couldn’t understand a word she sang (and yet she can understand her husband?) and fellow judge Piers Morgan was too busy discussing his place in history to pay her enough mind.
Her performance was fabulous. Her voice didn’t fall flat as it did at the end of last week’s performance, and the way they set the stage for her made it look as though she was floating on a cloud – guess the producers really bought into that “voice of an angel” theme! The fact that she sang last also indicates she’ll move on – they always save the best acts for last so as to build ratings. But who will join Jackie in next week’s finals?
Though tween dancers Anna and Patryk are clearly talented, I think Anna’s slip during last night’s performance probably killed their already-slim chances of moving on. There’s just too much talented competition. (Five-second timeout to lament the fact that Alice Tan Ridley, Gabourey Sidibe’s mom was eliminated last week; yes, I’m still bitter.)
Instead, Fighting Gravity and Prince Poppycock seem like locks for the finals with Jackie. They are both crowd-pleasers who would fit really well on the Las Vegas stage where the winner will be ensconced.
So who will get the final berth? I’m going to go out on a limb and say Studio One Young Beast Society. These dancers have arguably improved the most throughout the season, and the audience loves to see that. I also think they’d do great in Vegas – whereas I’d rather see Jackie headlining at the Met, where people would really appreciate her talent.

Moody commented on Sep 08 10 at 7:46 amI believe Fighting Gravity & Jackie are a lock to the finals, I would really love to see Michael Grasso (he is great!) and as much as Prince Poppycock is great, we already have an opera singer. What he does, doesn’t amaze me and I was bored with his performance and song choice last night. I think Jeremy should move on, for the sheer fact that everytime he is on, I am clawing in anticipation hoping he doesn’t fall and quite frankly, That’s entertainment!!

Joy commented on Sep 08 10 at 2:26 pmMichael Grimm is very good, but Poppycock is totally Vegas. The costumes, the glitz the shere entertainment of this man. AWESOME
shiloh13 commented on Sep 08 10 at 3:28 pmKids’ acts don’t belong in Vegas — there will be plenty of time for them. Singers such as Michael Grimm are a dime a dozen. Vegas already has Blue Man Group & Cirque as well as Chris Angel. The only logical choice left is Prince Poppycock. His act is entertaining, glitzy and everything Vegas looks for.
your worst nightmare commented on Sep 08 10 at 6:21 pmJackie Evancho is a fixed act. There are too many signs. Do I think her voice is real, probably. But, coming out of a youtube audition? Audio doesn’t carry properly on youtube, people. And everyone wants to go LAST on Tuesdays-hello!? What a coincidence.
DrCollie commented on Sep 14 10 at 3:59 amthe top four will be: Michael Grasso, Jackie Evancho, Michael Grimm, and Fighting Gravity. I really didn’t understand what Fighting Gravity was saying with their act tonight except they were in outer space.
Cindy commented on Sep 14 10 at 9:50 pmI agree Jackie is a fixed act, and the question is why. Obviously questions are given to her in advance since every answer is so perfect.
