aly michalka hellcats Aly Michalka: 5 Things About the Hellcats StarAly Michalka is set to appear in tonight’s Hellcats premiere on the CW – here are 5 things about Hellcats star Aly Michalka to give you some background on this beautiful actress.

1. Aly Michalka has no cheerleading background, but her mom was a Raiderette, so it seems like cheering is in her blood. Aly explains, “My mom happened to be a Raiderette that went to the Super Bowl, and they won, which is rad, and a Rams cheerleader and a UCLA cheerleader. So — I know, right?”

2. Michalka does note that she has “a dance background for sure in free-styling,” so that cool Hellcats choreography must not have been entirely foreign to Aly.

3. Aly is also a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist, and is half of a singing group with her sister, Amanda, known as 78violet (formerly Aly & AJ).

4. Aly Michalka started acting at age 5, and got her break as a Disney star, appearing as Keely Teslow in Phil of the Future and Disney original movies Now You See It… and Cow Belles; she also appeared opposite High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens in Bandslam.

5. Michalka teases in an interview that she may sing with her sister on Hellcats, saying, “Yes, it’s a possibility, but I can’t tell you what episode. You’ll just have to watch and see.”

Will you watch Aly Michalka in Hellcats? Will you watch with your kids? It looks like it has a fun High School Musical/Bring It On vibe… could be fun!
