Was Danielle Staub Fired from Real Housewives of New Jersey?
While reports of Danielle Staub “leaving” or “quitting” RHONJ have been heating up the internet, inside sources tell Popeater.com that Staub was actually fired from Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Staub herself has said that she’s leaving Real Housewives of New Jersey to focus on a new project – a spin-off reality show of her own.
An insider squeals that “Cast members Caroline [Manzo] and Jacqueline [Laurita] made it clear that if Danielle stayed they would leave. Bravo had already lost Dina [Manzo] because of Danielle and couldn’t risk losing another two cast members from the top ‘Housewife’ show in the whole franchise.”
Whether or not that’s to be believe, I don’t know, but Bravo seems intent to keep the Manzo family around at all costs, with one TV exec commenting, “The only ‘Housewives that Bravo needs to hang onto are the Manzo family. They are TV gold and Bravo knows it.”
As for that spin-off reality show, it looks like that won’t see the light of day on any other network – Danielle Staub’s Bravo contract stipulates that she can’t appear on another network in her own show for two years after her Bravo deal expires.
Oh well…there’s always the singing career, Danielle. (Snort.)
Do you think Danielle Staub was fired? Will the Real Housewives of New Jersey be the same without her special brand of drama?
