bachlorpad 500 300x210 Six Highlights From Bachelor Pad Episode 5Bachelor Pad Episode 5 aired last night, and the drama in the house has definitely risen to a whole new level. There was more hooking up, more crying, and the cast members are finally starting to realize that if they want to win the $250,000, then they may have to put their friendships in the house on the line.

The show kicked off with Chris Harrison announcing that three women would be going home immediately, because there were seven women in the house and only four men, and the numbers needed to be evened out. Cue the fountain of tears from the ladies, please.

Everyone went outside, and there were three limos waiting to take away the ladies who did not win the competition for the day, which turned out to be somewhat of an old fashioned game of “spin the bottle.”  The catch was that instead of spinning the bottle and having to kiss the person it pointed to, the guys spun the bottle to see who would go first in choosing one of the remaining women to be their partner for the rest of the game by asking her to accept a kiss.

Before he was voted off Bachelor Pad last week, Wes told everyone that the couples needed to be broken up. Turns out he was right, and they really should’ve taken his advice.

The way the couples paired off was no surprise. Kiptyn chose Tenley, Dave chose Natalie, Kovacs chose crazy Elizabeth, and Jesse B. chose Peyton, making them the final four. And then the fun began.

Here are six more highlights from Bachelor Pad Episode 5:

1. After the limos drove away with Ashley, Gwen, and Nikki riding in them, Elizabeth delivered the ultimate insult on national television by stating that she felt awful for Gwen, because she could easily wind up like her someday…which she described as “in her 40s and alone.”  It’s no secret that Gwen did not want her age revealed on the show, so I guess Elizabeth kind of let the cat out of the bag.

2. Out of the four remaining couples in the house, three of them were pretty giddy that they didn’t have to hide their affections for each other anymore. Natalie said that she thought it was her and Dave’s start to happily ever after and they talked about how happy they were to make it to the final four.

Kovacs and Elizabeth decided they better study everything about each other in the event of a relationship knowledge competition. He gave a run-down of facts about her, while she had trouble remembering when his birthday was or what his middle name was. And then she said that she’d forgotten to take her ginko boloba that day, and she couldn’t even pronounce that term correctly.

Tenley and Kiptyn did a lot of smooching, and she giggled quite a bit. And then she came out with the brilliant statement of, “Kissing is fun. Kiptyn is fun…cause we are “Kip-Ten!!”  I still haven’t decided whether I think the new label is cute or really annoying.

Jesse B. and Peyton sat on the couch together, where she pouted and made faces after being grossed out by him picking at his leg with a screw. They then argued over the correct way to open a banana. Somehow I don’t see marriage and babies in the future for these two.

3. The first competition kicked off for the final four, and it came in the form of a water balloon toss. The couples tossed them back and forth to each other, and each was allowed to break three before being disqualified.  Peyton and Jesse B. were the first to be ousted after she broke three in a row, and they were followed by Kiptyn and Tenley. Kovacs and Elizabeth were the next to go, and then Natalie and Dave completed one more successful toss and won the competition, plus an overnight date and two roses, making them safe from elimination.

4. For their date, Dave and Natalie went out the front door of the house and found a yellow Lamborghini waiting for them. Of course, Kovacs and Elizabeth spotted it first and proceeded to “break it in” by making out in the front seat…and on the back of the car. Ick.

Natalie and Dave drove off, and wound up at a beautiful home off the Pacific Coast Highway, which turned out to be the same house where now married Jason and Molly Mesnick shared their first overnight camping date.  Things heated up between Dave and Natalie, and she told him that he was amazing and said that he was everything she could possibly want in a guy. He returned her sentiments, and said that she was “definitely the kind of girl he could see himself with.” After a little hot tub action, they talked strategy a bit.  Natalie tried to convince Dave that Kovacs and Elizabeth were a threat, but he refused to break his “pact” with Kovacs to help each other get to the end, no matter what.

5. Back at the house, Kovacs and Elizabeth decided that they wanted to have their own date, so they snuck into the upstairs “fantasy suite”, where they ultimately “sealed the deal.” And then Elizabeth got all crazy and started to question Kovacs’ intentions, blah, blah, blah. She then looked at him and said, “I love you,” after which there was an uncomfortable silence and no reciprocation from him. Honestly, did we really expect anything less?

6. Right before the voting began, Chris Harrison announced that the couples would be voting individually. Tenley and Natalie made their own pact, which they deemed “women code”, and vowed to get rid of Kovacs and Elizabeth and save Peyton and Jesse B. But in the end, Natalie couldn’t bring herself to go against her man, Dave, so she wound up being the swing vote and Jesse and Peyton were sent home.

The season finale of Bachelor Pad is next week, and we’ll find out who wins the $250,000! The entire cast of the show will be returning for the episode, and it promises some sort of “shocking twist that changes everything.”  I can’t wait to see how it all plays out!
