Niecy Nash Has Something to Dance About: She’s Engaged!
The moves Niecy Nash learned as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars should come in handy when she marries her boyfriend of one year Jay Tucker. The couple announced their engagement over the weekend to friends and family. Nash waltzed and joked her way into our hearts on last season’s DWTS, where she managed to stay longer than most predictions, mainly due to her gracious attitude and gregarious sense of humor.
“I cannot believe that God has been this kind that he would gift me this man,” the actress and Clean House host, 40, told ET. “I love you so much.” Her DWTS partner Louis van Amstel was on hand for the couple’s big announcement.
The nuptials are planned for May 2001 and will be Nash’s second marriage. She divorced minister Don Nash, with whom she has three kids, in 2007 after 13 years of marriage.
How does she feel about planning a wedding? “Falling in love was the easy part, planning a wedding — yikes!” Good news if you thought Nash was a breath of fresh air on the show: She’ll be the ET DWTS correspondent for the upcoming season.
